Product Sold At Aldi Recalled Over Contamination Fears

A popular product sold at Aldi stores has been recalled due to contamination fears.

The food safety watchdog issued a warning that some of the Fresh Salad Co Baby Spinach varieties were found to have microbial (STEC) contamination.

'Food products contaminated with STEC may cause illness if consumed,' the watchdog said.

The recall applies to products sold in Queensland and stores in Northern NSW including Tweed Heads South, Ballina, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Lismore, auto yomi casino login, Toormina, Armidale, Byron Bay, Goonellabah, Tweed Mall and Moonee Beach.

Impacted products included: Fresh Salad Co Baby Spinach 120g with a use by date of March 28, Fresh Salad Co Fresh & Fast Stir Fry 400g with a use by date of March 27, Fresh Salad Co Baby Spinach & Rocket 120g with a use by date of March 27 and Fresh Salad Co Baby Spinach 280g with a use by date of March 30. 

Shoppers have been warned not to eat the products. 

The items can be returned to Aldi stores for a full refund.
